If you travel to north India, you will find the city of New Delhi and this is where you may have an uplifting vacation experience. New Delhu is India’s capital and it can be found near the Yamuna River. It was only in 1931 when the city was inaugurated as India’s new capital. The city streets are symmetrically laid out. Lutyens was the architect who drew the city plan. He was also the same person who designed Rashtrapati Bhawan which happens to the place of residence of the country’s president. The buildings in the city reflect an Indian style but the architecture is primarily European. The embassy of the US that is located in New Delhi is a combination of western and Indian style. A boulevard is found east of the presidential palace that is bordered by canals and trees which lead to a memorial war arch.
